3M Ceramic Microspheres W-610 High-Strength Solid Ceramic Microspheres for Wear-Resistant Coatings
Full Name & Product Positioning
Product Full Name: 3M W-610 High-Strength Solid Ceramic Microspheres
A white solid ceramic microsphere grade made of alkali aluminosilicate ceramic, with whiteness L value of 90 or above and particle size D90 approx. 32 μm. It is the coarsest grade among 3M white ceramic microspheres, providing the strongest gloss reduction (matte effect). Commonly used for low-gloss paints, thick-film maintenance coatings, adhesives, and decorative flooring, offering excellent scrub and burnish resistance while allowing higher filler loading and lower VOC formulations.

Key Advantages
· High hardness and compressive strength, improves scrub resistance and abrasion resistance of coatings, addressing film wear and powder shedding.
· Coarsest grade among 3M white ceramic microspheres, provides the strongest gloss reduction (matte effect), ideal for low-gloss and flat paint formulations.
· Low resin adsorption allows high filler loading, optimizes formulation systems, reduces resin demand, and enables lower-VOC environmentally friendly coating production.
· Heat resistant, corrosion resistant, aging resistant, and UV resistant; suitable for outdoor maintenance coatings and thick-film applications.
· Spherical particles provide good flowability and viscosity control, improving coating workability and film uniformity.
Main Application Areas
