    2. Properties

    SOLBIN is a modified copolymer resin. It combines the toughness and weather resistance of vinyl chloride with the adhesion and plasticity of vinyl acetate. Additional polar groups are introduced to deliver excellent adhesion and solubility.
    The resin is odorless, features great water resistance and low water absorption. It is widely used as adhesives for magnetic tapes and magnetic cards, coating agents for beverage cans and waterproof tapes, as well as all kinds of coatings, inks and binders.

    General Features of SOLBIN Vinyl Chloride-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer Resin

    1. Soluble in organic solvents such as ketones and esters.
    2. Odorless; capable of forming transparent films.
    3. Excellent resistance against acids, alkalis and salt water.
    4. Produces coatings with outstanding water resistance.
    5. Film exhibits flame retardancy and self-extinguishing properties.
    6. Thermoplastic coating with heat-seal performance.
    7. Good compatibility with polyurethane resin and melamine resin.
    8. Grades containing hydrophilic groups enable effective dispersion of inorganic pigments such as magnetic powder.
    9. Hydroxyl-containing grades can crosslink via reaction with isocyanate groups.
