It is a high‑performance primary antioxidant for high‑temperature processing of polyolefins and styrenic plastics, representative of low‑volatility grades with good NOx gas‑fading resistance.

II. Key Performance Characteristics

  1. Low‑volatility high‑temperature‑resistant primary antioxidant

    High molecular weight and extremely low volatility, suitable for processing temperatures above 270 °C. Not recommended for processing below 200 °C due to its high melting point and poor dispersion under such conditions.
  2. Excellent resistance to gas‑fading discoloration

    Provides outstanding inhibition of yellowing caused by NOx fumes, performing well for white and light‑colored articles. Remarkable synergistic effect when combined with phosphite secondary antioxidants to improve processing thermal stability; thio‑ether secondary antioxidants can be used to enhance long‑term thermal aging performance.
  3. Hydrolysis‑resistant, extraction‑resistant and good compatibility

    Excellent hydrolysis resistance, retaining high antioxidant activity under humid hot‑water conditions. Extraction‑resistant in polyolefins with low risk of blooming. No adverse interaction with mineral‑filled systems.
  4. Main functions: Captures free radicals, suppresses thermal degradation of polymers during processing, retards long‑term thermo‑oxidative aging of end‑products, and preserves mechanical properties and color appearance.

III. Main Application Fields

  1. Polyolefin materials (core applications)

    • Modified PP, automotive TPO, mineral‑filled polypropylene

    • PP fibers, flat yarns, films, PPR pipes

    • PE injection‑molded, rotational‑molded and blow‑molded articles
  2. Styrenic polymers and elastomers

    ABS, HIPS; TPE, TPR thermoplastic elastomers
  3. Secondary applications (conditional use)

    Adhesives, certain synthetic rubbers. Applicable for polyolefin articles complying with food‑contact approvals. Not suitable for formulations with low‑temperature processing or insufficient shear for full melting and dispersion.
